Nel tardo pomeriggio di oggi Paola Fantato è stata fra i protagonisti della cerimonia di apertura dei IX Giochi Paralimpici Invernali di Torino 2006, trasmessa in diretta tv su Rai 2.
Peccato che la cosa sia passata del tutto inosservata

Ho sfogliato oggi i soliti due quotidiani, ma giuro di non aver notato alcun accenno all'apertura delle paraolimpiadi.....

Il fatto che le paralimpiadi sono poco seguite è anche colpa dei media che non vi danno il giusto risalto. Il mio istruttore mi dice che invece le segue con una certa attenzione nel vedere come i diversamente abili riescono a ottenere risultati sorprendenti con una buona dose di competività. Arrivare per me alle paralimpiadi sarebbe un grande onore, rappresentare la nostra nazione e la mia sicilia.

Per potere andare alle paraolimpiadi divi essere classificato da un valutatore del Comitato Paraolimpico, e devi iscriverti anche ad una società affiliata CIP.
